This site is devoted to finding affordable business web site hosting. I own over 360 domains, about 75 websites and have used most of the top hosting companies. Many of them do not live up their advertising claims.
Domain Sale! $7.49 .com at GoDaddy
Here’s a rundown on some of the major hosting companies.
HostNine
I’ve had over 50 websites hosted with this company, and am gradually switching to another hosting company. They have a 99.99% Uptime Guarantee, but my sites have been down 4 times in the past two months. One time ALL my sites were down for three days straight! Customer service is extremely poor. Everytime you call customer service they cannot tell you anything, and ask you to submit a support ticket online.I was told (by technical support) that the billing department does not accept phone calls. If you have a billing problem you must send an email.
Also, they make it almost impossible to get credit for downtime, by asking you wait until the next month to submit you request for credit.
HostGator
I am extremely happy with HostGator, and am switching most of my web sites over to them. This, in my opinion, is the best affordable web site hosting company. The prices are very reasonable, the Control Panel is easy to navigate, and customer service is friendly. Highly recommended. Click the link below to check them out:
1and1
They claim to be the world’s # 1 hosting company. Years ago I had this service and was not satisfied. It was very expensive and the service was not easy to use (especially for a novice).
GoDaddy
While I register most of my domains with GoDaddy, I prefer not to keep all of my eggs in one basket. I think it’s best to have different registrars and hosting companies. Highly recommended for domain registration.
HostPapa
This company has gotten great reviews, and uses green energy.
